Oregon Entrepreneurs Compete for $165,000

If you pitch it well, they will fund it. A group of 33 angel investors dished out $165,000 to a new local business venture.

Seven entrepreneurs competed for the pot of cash. Each entrenreneur had 10 minutes to pitch his or her idea for a business venture.

In the audience were dozens of venture capitalists, listening for the next big idea. All 33 angel investors voted on what they believe could be most successful.

They’re up against the clock. 10 minutes to persuade potential investors that their business model will rake in the dough. If a ticking clock isn’t stressful enough, add bright lights and an audience with voting power.
