Northshore Industries – Businessman meets challenge of selling surfing products in Boise, Idaho

He isn’t your average small business owner, and he’s a young one at that. Nate Smith is an Idaho native who purchased a small business and made it grow. You could say he has a “well-oiled business plan.”

Some might call him the “Lube Guy,” others would call him a business owner who believes in his product. He built up Northshore Industries http://www.moosejuice.com/ from a small one-product business which he purchased in 2006. It’s a line of slick products meant for the surfer, wake boarder and water athlete, but Smith made sure his business goes beyond a single purchasing group.

Although Smith felt he should keep the business in a coastal area like San Francisco, where his product is in higher demand year round, he realized early on that there was nowhere better for a small business than right here in Boise.
