Financial aid just got better Ten steps to financial aid

Good news for families paying for college — there is more money available for those seeking financial aid for college.
Kelly Chapman, vice president of activities at the Student Assistance Foundation in Helena, said with increases in federal grant reimbursements and reduced interest rates on student loans, higher education is becoming more accessible.
"There are several things that have changed in the students’ favor," she said.
First of all, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) has been simplified so students don’t have to fill out as many questions.
