Our client, a well capitalized community bank based in Mid-South Montana is seeking an
experienced banker and strong leader to assume the role of President & Chief Executive Officer.
The bank has been in existence for less than 4 years with approximately $50 million in assets
and has been successful in capturing the local community’s attention.

Currently under a consent order with the FDIC, the Board’s primary objective is to immediately
clear up all regulatory and credit issues and to grow the bank.

Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the successful candidate will be charged with the
overall operation of the bank and its services. The successful candidate will work closely with
the Board and regulators to navigate the proper course in order to resolve all regulatory
concerns. The new CEO will assess & stabilize the banks employee base and begin to build and
foster a cohesive team. The new CEO will be focused on maintaining costs and will develop a
course of action to build solid bank performance, profitability, shareholder value and leadership
in the community.

Ideal candidate: Currently serving in the President – CEO capacity OR a Lending Executive
interested in transitioning into the CEO post. Familiarity of the region is critical.

Requirements

Strong Credit and Lending skills

Strong management and communication skills

Experience in real estate work-out

Successful track record of developing and growing profitable business relationships

Experience with small business, professional and SBA lending

Experience recruiting, training and managing staff

Ability to effectively manage operations of a community financial institution

Ability to work collaboratively with (non-bank executive) board

Desire to become actively involved in the community

Entrepreneurial instincts

Motivated by turnaround – ground-floor opportunities

Knowledge of relevant federal and state regulatory practices

Must be approved by all regulatory agencies
