Gonzaga University Business Week to teach 250 high school students marketing through competition

Gonzaga University’s 20th annual Business Week will
bring 250 high school students from throughout the
state to Spokane beginning Sunday.

The weeklong event introduces students to the
business world through marketing competitions in
which they will act as executives of their own
companies. By week’s end, students will make
reports to mock shareholders. Student achievements
will be honored at a banquet.

Gonzaga and the Association of Washington
Business are co-sponsors of the event. The
association solicits corporate support to fund
scholarships that cover student costs.

Gonzaga Academic Vice President Stephen
Freedman will give the opening address, and Dean
of Admissions Philip Ballinger will speak later in the
week on the topic of "Going to College."
