State launches ad campaign to attract businesses – Economic officials targeting West Coast companies.

The Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED) has launched an advertising campaign to entice West Coast businesses to relocate or expand into Utah.

A series of eight advertisements will be published in the Wall Street Journal ‘s California edition as part of GOED’s West Coast Initiative. Begun three months ago, the campaign has identified 164 companies that GOED hopes may establish a presence in Utah, a list that department executive director Spencer Eccles wants to expand to 1,000.
