Rocky Mountain Labs in Hamilton, Montana named a top spot for post-doc fellows

“It’s the facilities, infrastructure, the people, it’s the access to all of those that makes it spectacular,” she added. “And then to have it here in the Bitterroot, it’s like a cherry on top.”

The national lab in Hamilton continues its rise to the top of the list of “Best Places” for post-doctoral research, according to The Scientist magazine.

The magazine runs the nation’s research laboratories, including Rocky Mountain Laboratories, through a rubric for ranking the quality of everything from the training and mentoring to the facilities and infrastructure to compensation to family and personal life.

The formula leaves RML sitting in sixth place, ahead of last year’s ranking of eighth (RML was 19th in 2008 and 22nd the year prior to that).
