Pharmacy techs on the fast track – MSU Great Falls College of Technology launching a new distance learning program

Bear Paw Development Corporation is a private non-profit organization created for the purpose of administering programs to help improve regional economic conditions in Hill, Blaine, Liberty, Chouteau and Phillips Counties and the Fort Belknap and Rocky Boy's Indian Reservations.

MSU Great Falls College of Technology http://www.msugf.edu/ is launching a new distance learning program in January to train students in as little as one semester to work as pharmacy technicians.

The idea is to meet a growing demand for pharmacy techs both in hospitals and retail pharmacies, while providing a good paying medical job without years of schooling.

"I’m really looking forward to completing this program and getting out into the real world making better pay for my family," said Cortney Bartlett, 23, a single parent who’s already signed up for the program just approved by the Montana Board of Regents.
