Jim Palmer Trucking http://www.jimpalmertrucking.com/, a Missoula-based national trucking company that has been fighting its way out of bankruptcy, has been sold to a pair of Chicago-based businessmen with plans to expand the company.

The paperwork was finalized last week, and all of the company’s current 280 employees were notified about the sale on Friday. On Monday, the new owners were at work in the company’s headquarters on Derby Drive near the Wye interchange.

The company’s new owners are Milan Kangrga, 53, and Blazo Gjorev, 31 – who are American residents originally from Croatia. The men currently operate a small flatbed truck service out of the Chicago area and are partners in other businesses, but did not elaborate on the nature of those businesses.
