Montana Secretary of State Linda McCulloch Announces 2009 Annual Report Deadline for Domestic Corporations and Domestic Limited Liability Companies

Montana business owners that are required by state law to file an Annual Report have until Monday, November 30, to complete the process if they want to continue to do business in the state.

Secretary of State Linda McCulloch reminds Domestic Corporations and Domestic Limited Liability Companies (LLCs) that Montana law requires them to file the Annual Report on time to avoid having their business involuntarily dissolved.

An involuntary dissolution of a Domestic Corporation or Domestic LLC registration prohibits associated business owners from legally operating in Montana until the business is reinstated with the Secretary of State’s Office.

"We should be growing our business economy, not shrinking it. I encourage folks who have not filed their 2009 Annual Report to do so online. It’s fast, easy and secure," said McCulloch.

Business owners can file a 2009 Annual Report online in four easy steps.

1) Logon to http://www.bear.mt.gov

2) Enter Folder ID Number or Business Name

3) Update and Verify changes

4) Pay the Filing Fee using a credit card or electronic check.
