Big Sky Economic Development Authority is recruiting to fill the position of Director of Business Outreach and Recruitment. This position provides leadership, establishes and implements strategies for two of the key missions of Big Sky Economic Development—the retention and expansion of existing businesses and the recruitment of new businesses to Yellowstone County, the Billings, Montana region. This position acts as the first point of contact with prospective businesses and will facilitate all aspects of the new business recruitment process. The position works with the Executive Director on state and local policy making efforts related to economic development.

The position of Director of Business Outreach and Recruitment requires professional, business-orientated experience with a proven track record in economic development, marketing, and community promotion. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferably in economic development, business finance or marketing, public administration, or related field; and, three or more years of proven and successful experience in economic development, business recruitment and retention, or business development and marketing; or a combination of experience, education and training that is deemed equivalent.
