Montana Career Opportunity – Internal Auditor – Montana Rail Link

Auditor, headquartered in Missoula, MT. This position will analyze business processes, procedures
and activities to identify potential problems and will develop recommendations and assist in
implementing solutions.

Responsibilities:

§ Ensure compliance with MRL policies and procedures.

§ Perform audits of revenue system to ensure all traffic is accurately reported.

§ Perform audits of car hire system to ensure MRL is correctly paying and collecting car hire.

§ Review invoices to ensure MRL is accurately being billed for goods and services received.

§ Review employee expense accounts to ensure policy compliance.

§ Review fleet costs to ensure charges are proper and costs are necessary.

§ Test inventory to ensure physical and accounting inventories agree.

§ Test payroll system to ensure all payments are accurate.

§ Other functions as assigned.

Requirements:

§ Bachelor’s degree in Business/Accounting, CPA preferred.

§ Selfmotivated,
selfdirected,
ability to work with no supervision.

§ Ability to lead and motivate others.

§ Excellent oral and written communication skills.

§ Excellent organization and time management skills.

§ Ability to utilize MRL query tools to audit, analyze, and prepare reports.

§ Experience with spreadsheet and word processing applications.

§ AS400/JDE background beneficial.

Minimal travel required. Salary dependent upon experience.
