Governor Otter talks up Idaho business community and school consolidation

Consolidating services among state agencies may become a tool to offset state revenue shortfalls.

In a meeting Wednesday with the Times-News editorial board, Gov. C.L. "Butch" Otter said he’s asked his cabinet members to look for agencies that serve the same constituency that can be brought together. Otter declined to name specific agencies, but said that "in many cases they’re very small but very important to the people they serve."
