Sidney, Montana teachers take part in NASA Airborne Research Experience for Education

Imagine working with some of the brightest scientific minds in the country conducting research experiments.

David and Joy-Lyn McDonald, science teachers at Sidney Middle School and Sidney High School, were two of 10 educators and several undergraduate and graduate students across the country participating in the NASA-sponsored program Airborne Research Experience for Education that allowed them to work with professors, research institutions and NASA scientists.

This airborne research campaign was designed so that while the students conduct research and present their findings, teachers write curriculum materials based on their experiments that will eventually become available as NASA materials to teachers and students.
