August 21, 2009 /
A Salt Lake City company has received $16.5 million in venture capital to begin clinical trials on a medical device that repairs a heart defect — a procedure that also could prove to be a significant breakthrough in treating migraine headaches.
Coherex Medical http://www.coherex.com/ said it hopes to announce when clinical trials will begin in the United States by the end of the year, but it already is selling its device in most of Europe after getting approvals there.
