Ideas from Missoula April Economic development forum still coalescing; another forum set for September

When a seasoned economist told Missoula leaders this spring to fire up their economic development engines, some people took the message to heart.

“He (Larry Swanson) was kind of pleading with the business community to do something, to maintain our economy and not let it go down anymore,” said Paul Wilson, a Bitterroot businessman who builds energy-efficient homes.

So after attending the economic forum, Wilson and some colleagues in the business community put their heads together and started asking themselves questions: “What are the roadblocks? What are the stumbling blocks? What can we do?”
