MSE lays off 15 people in Butte, Montana

A major Butte employer announced the temporary layoff Friday of 15 employees.

MSE http://www.mse-ta.com/ President and CEO Jeff Ruffner said in a news release the employees are expected to be laid off for three months.

The layoff is prompted by the delay in funding for a Department of Defense project, and a change in the federal appropriations process that resulted in the decision not to fund one of MSE’s long-term projects for the Department of Energy for fiscal year 2010, he said.
