Monsanto buys Montana-based WestBred for $45 million to gain access to wheat market

A Montana-based research and development company for cereal grains. WestBred LLC http://www.westbred.com/ , has been acquired by Monsanto, the world’s biggest provider of seeds.

Monsanto announced Tuesday it was re-entering the wheat market with the $45 million purchase of WestBred.
