Wyoming high school dropout rate to be topic of education summit

The Board of Education has named three general priorities for improving the graduation rate: boosting students’ sense of belonging in school, improving tracking of school attendance, and encouraging schools to adopt appropriate and rigorous curricula, board Chairman Bill Anthony said.

"When a kid drops out, they just don’t do themselves any good – they don’t do the economy any good. We really need to do a better job of keeping them in," Anthony said.
