Montana Career Opportunity – City Manager – Helena, Montana

Position works under the broad policy guidance of the City Commission, performing high level administrative, technical and professional work. Manages, supervises and administers all departments, divisions, agencies, offices and employees of the City, except the Commission and its employees.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in public/business administration, political science, finance or closely related field, and five years progressively responsible public administration experience managing a complex mix of duties including budget development, large staff administration and ordinance and/or legislation drafting.

A Master’s degree in one of the above noted fields is preferred and may be substituted for one years’ experience. Salary range $81 – 100K plus competitive benefits package DOQ.
