Big Sky Chamber gets $250K for ad campaign

The Big Sky Chamber of Commerce http://www.bigskychamber.com/ has received $250,000 in resort-tax money to help it promote the city nationwide and staunch a decline in visits to the ski destination.

On top of its regular request to cover regional promotions, the chamber had asked for the additional $250,000 to spearhead a winter marketing campaign billing Big Sky as “the biggest skiing in America.” That is a reference to Big Sky Resort and Moonlight Basin, which combined make for the most skiable acres to be had on one lift ticket in the United States.

Executive director Marne Hayes credited the support the chamber got from businesses in Big Sky for the extra funding.
