Business teams up with environment in Idaho – Going Green for the Green

ECO-nomics aims to make environmental, economic sense

Being environmentally friendly has not traditionally been seen as economically practical.

On Tuesday morning the Coeur d’Alene Area Chamber of Commerce plans to change that. The Chamber’s Natural Resource Committee will unveil its "ECO-nomics: Going Green as an Economic Development Tool" project at the Upbeat Breakfast at The Coeur d’Alene Resort.

Months in the planning, the program kicked into high gear in April, as Earth Week came to a close, when a group of chamber members representing a variety of sectors got together at the Coeur d’Alene Public Library to begin what will be an ongoing process of showing businesses how to improve their bottom line by making green practices part of their business model.
