Missoula Area Economic Development Corp. aims for regional blueprint

Western Montana’s economy could be stronger and more vital if all the far-flung communities that make up this region work together.

So goes the theory driving the Missoula Area Economic Development Corp.’s http://www.maedc.org latest project to create what it’s labeled a Western Montana Economic Development Blueprint.

Ideally, the blueprint will be the result of open, frank discussions held by a steering committee composed of business leaders, elected officials, local economic development organizations, entrepreneurs and educators, said Dick King, MAEDC president.

At the heart of the effort is one question: What is our future?
