Missoula County Public Schools approves new academic freedom policy

Without a word of dissent, a new academic freedom policy passed the Missoula County Public Schools http://www.mcps.k12.mt.us/portal/default.aspx board of trustees Tuesday night.

The lack of dissent really was no surprise, as the policy had been in rehab for the past few months, undergoing a major overhaul.

The policy came under scrutiny late last year when the parent of a Big Sky High School student objected to a video shown in his daughter’s biology class.
