Montana Career Opportunity – Software Engineer – Visual Learning Systems, Inc.

A Software Engineer to work on designing, developing, testing, and deploying image analysis software. Responsibilities include design, implement, and perform technical reviews of machine learning algorithms for the purpose of extracting features from remotely sensed data; image processing and mathematical algorithms used to manipulate remotely sensed data; apply data mining techniques to GIS databases; using existing GIS and Remote Sensing APIs to create software extensions; and making modifications to existing automated feature extraction and LIDAR processing software packages using C++ and Windows programming.

Minimum requirements: Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or a related field. Experience must include: A demonstrated understanding of GIS and Remote Sensing software packages, machine learning algorithms, data mining algorithms, image processing techniques, statistical analysis; and in-depth knowledge of C++ and programming on a Windows platform.
