Qwest settlement extends DSL to Western Montana towns

A handful of Western Montana towns, including two in the Bitterroot Valley, will be getting DSL broadband Internet service in the near future under a settlement between the state and Qwest Communications.
The Montana Public Service Commission announced details of the settlement in the 5-year old dispute with Qwest this week. The disagreement was over how much Qwest was charging its customers based against its return on investment here in Montana.
