3rd year of program brings aspiring doctors back to Montana

5-state partnership works with University of Washington

After growing up in Roundup, Katie Newell was a little overwhelmed when her medical education took her to Seattle.

"It was easy to get lost in the crowd," said Newell, who spent her second year of medical school at the University of Washington.

"It could feel like nobody cared what you were doing," she said. "Here, you feel like you really do matter. It’s more of a community feel than Seattle."
