Missoula BarCamp 2009 a great success

Thank you to everyone who helped make Missoula BarCamp 2009 http://missoulabarcamp.org/ a success!

Thanks to our sponsoring organizations, MTWDA, SafeGuard, MAEDC, MATR, ModWest, GrupThink, Le Petit Outre, and KDXT. A big thank you to the volunteers that helped produce the event, including Nick Shonz (for webhosting, early guidance, and setup), Jennifer & Nathan Stephens (for too many things to list in a sentence), Andy Laken (for early guidance), all the session convenors, and all the people who asked during the event, "how can I help", or who just did what they saw was needed. And thanks most of all to the community just for showing up and being brilliant. It was a privilege to hear your thoughts, experience, expertise, enthusiasm, and passion.

The community clearly wants another BarCamp next year. The best way to make sure that happens is to keep building the community. Here are some ways you can contribute:

1) Use the wiki http://missoulabarcamp/wiki to read and post session notes and whatever else you might think we need there. (Create an account by clicking on the link at the upper left.)

2) Visit the flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/tags/missoulabarcamp2009/ and facebook http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=32281018&op=1&view=all&subj=510918869&id=23501551#/photo_search.php?oid=59116222371&view=all pages to post pictures and comments about the event. Use the tag MissoulaBarCamp2009.

3) Tweet http://www.twitter.com/ about the event. Use the tag #MissoulaBarCamp2009 in your post.

4) Volunteer to help organize the next event. There are any number of ways to contribute. Just reply to this email.

5) Consider participating in any number of local meetings, including the Missoula 501 Tech Club http://groups.nten.org/group.htm?mode=gvb&igid=89751 , Missoula Linux Users Group http://groups.google.com/group/msla-lug , Montana Coders http://montanaprogrammers.com/ , and many more. If I didn’t list you, put your link on the wiki. Maybe you need to even start a new one? Let us know about it!

Warm Regards, and see you at Missoula BarCamp 2010 (or before)!
