Many hands still needed for Butte, Montana’s National Folk Festival July 10 to 12. Still needs $350,000

More is the watchword for the fast-approaching National Folk Festival, set to kick off again in just about three months, believe it or not.

Feedback from last year indicated a need for more parking, more shuttles, more transportation inside festival grounds, more porta-potties, more vendors, etc.

The force behind this need for more is the huge crowds expected. Last year’s inaugural festival drew an estimated 75,000 to Uptown over the three-day event, and this second year promises to bring upwards of 120,000 to Butte the weekend of July 10 to 12.

Folk Festival needs $350,000

Fundraising for the National Folk Festival set to take place in Butte this summer is $350,000 short of the goal, even after $150,000 in recent pledges that include a six-figure commitment from the Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation.
