Tom Maclay, Bitterroot Resort sued and ordered to pay nearly $50,000 for advertising, marketing and public relations services provided by a Hamilton firm.

In a breach of contract dispute, Tom Maclay and his proposed Bitterroot Resort http://www.skibitterrootresort.com/ have been ordered to pay nearly $50,000 for advertising, marketing and public relations services provided by a Hamilton firm.

The Maverick Marketing Group http://admaverick.com/ sued Maclay last month in Ravalli County District Court, accusing him of failing to pay for extensive promotional work for the planned Bitterroot Resort.

The resort has been on hold as Bitterroot and Lolo national forest officials await financial and technical information on Maclay’s proposal for skiing and biking in public lands above his ranch on the sides of Lolo Peak.
