Put an end to petty partisanship

Oh, we were so close.

So close to a civil discourse all the way through the 2009 Legislature. So close to a full session that all Montanans could be proud of. So close to refraining from the harsh, heated partisanship still resonating from two years ago.

But alas, politics has finally reared its ugly head this session.

Montanans should have expected as much, but should nonetheless be disappointed.

House members adjourned Tuesday for transmittal, the mid-session break, but not before two of their top leaders engaged in a public war of words.
