Blackfeet business project receives grants – Pikuni Industries

A Browning-based business may soon be getting the facelift it needs to manufacture materials for missiles for the U.S. Army at a reduced cost, along with inching closer to creating dozens of jobs that go with the project.

Pikuni Industries has secured more than $1.2 million from federal and tribal sources to upgrade its current location at the 35,000-square foot Blackfeet Industrial Park on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation.

The renovation includes redoing the building’s electrical wiring so the facility can handle operations related to developing adaptive lightweight materials for the U.S. Army’s missile defense program.
