Recommendations for change – Missoula County students brainstorm ideas to improve education in the future

Alex Apostle wants to have a community-wide discussion about schools in the 21st century.

It’s a discussion where the superintendent of Missoula County Public Schools http://www.mcps.k12.mt.us/portal/default.aspx sees a role for nearly everyone – parents, teachers, the business community, civic groups and the University of Montana.

“Taking our schools to the next level is going to take everybody working together,” said Apostle. “It can’t be about schools working in isolation.”

On Wednesday, however, the discussion got started at its most fundamental level – with students.
