Washington Governor Gregoire says her program will put 20,000 to work

Democrat Chris Gregoire was sworn in for a second term as Washington’s governor just before 12:30 p.m. Wednesday while four former governors, several tribal leaders and a slew of officials from around the globe watched.

After taking the oath of office, Gregoire gave her State of the State address before a joint session of the Legislature in which she touted a "Washington Jobs Now" program that she said will put 20,000 people to work in the next two years.

More details about Gregoire’s jobs program to build $4 billion worth of public works and transportation projects will be released today in Seattle.
