The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation announces two new programs to stimulate the economy with new high-tech, high-growth ventures.
The Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation http://www.kauffman.org/ will invest more than $5 million in efforts to stimulate the economy with new high-tech, high-growth ventures.
“What we need is more entrepreneurs,” said Lesa Mitchell, a Kauffman vice president specializing in advancing innovation.
Two new programs, the Kauffman Entrepreneur Fellows and the Entrepreneur Postdoctoral Fellows, mark an evolution in the approach of the Kansas City-based foundation.
“We are not just funding education and waiting to see what will happen,” Mitchell said. “This is funding people who will create the technologies and the companies of the future.”
