University of Montana Alumni Association Seeks Scholarship Applications
The University of Montana Alumni Association is seeking applications for the Alumni Association Scholarship.
It is available to students who have a parent or grandparent who attended UM. Applicants must have attained junior status prior to the beginning of fall 2009 semester and be a full-time student for the fall 2009 and spring 2010 semesters. Graduate students who received a baccalaureate degree from UM also are eligible for the scholarship.
Completed applications are due at the Office of Alumni Relations by 5 p.m. Friday, March 6.
The amount of the scholarship varies each year. Last year, recipients were awarded $4,000. This year’s winners will receive the scholarship funds in two equal installments during the 2009-10 academic year.
The application requires verification of eligibility and is composed of a single essay question: What was your most rewarding campus or community contribution while at UM? Supporting documentation required include a current resume and transcript. The application can be downloaded from the association’s Web site at http://www.grizalum.com.
For more information about the scholarship, call Samantha Kemp at 406-243-4754 or e-mail [email protected]
