Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer optimistic about year ahead

On Jan. 5, Brian Schweitzer http://governor.mt.gov/ will officially begin his second term as governor.

While Montana seems to be faring better than most states as the worldwide economic crisis continues its downward spiral, Schweitzer will undoubtedly face plenty of challenges over the next four years.

Schweitzer remains optimistic, saying that Montana’s place in America’s energy future will continue to keep the state’s economy afloat.

The governor recently sat down for an interview with the Tribune Capitol Bureau to talk about the economy, the upcoming legislative session and his vision of Montana’s future.
