The Montana State University Billings College of Technology took ownership of its new Mobile Energy Training Laboratory on Monday.

The 38-foot-long lab on a diesel chassis or truck can accommodate as many as 10 students. It will be used to provide training on Microsoft Office programs, computer-aided design, hydraulics instruction, safety training, welding and more.

John Cech, dean of the College of Technology http://www.cot.msubillings.edu/ , said the mobile lab will broaden the COT’s opportunities for work force training and provide opportunities for partnerships with educational institutions and industry statewide. The mobile lab also will be available for training demonstrations at K-12 schools.
