Casual angels pull back, but serious angels step up
December 11, 2008 /
It would be difficult to find someone more passionate about angel investing than David S. Rose (pictured). In 1997, he founded New York Angels Inc., an investment group that has spent more than $20 million backing roughly 65 companies, typically investing between $250,000 and $750,000 in early-stage startups.
Rose doesn’t just bring angels together. He also develops tools to make their lives easier. He’s the founder and CEO of Angelsoft LLC, which develops software used by entrepreneurs to pitch their startups to individual investors. He’s also the managing principal of Rose Tech Ventures LLC and chairman of Egret Capital Partners LLC.
