Taylor Brown recognized as engine behind Montana State University’s new Animal Bioscience facility

Taylor Brown brought his own hard hat to the Saturday morning groundbreaking ceremony at the site of Montana State University’s new Animal Bioscience building .

It was, appropriately, shaped like a cowboy hat.

One of the first to arrive for the ceremony, Brown trudged through the dirt that surrounded the building’s rebar-framed walls, asking about traffic access, a nearby stream that was rerouted to make way for the facility and other details.

“It’s just unbelievably exciting,” Brown said in his signature voice, well-recognized due to the decades he’s spent as an on-air farm broadcaster.

Jeff Jacobsen, dean and director of the College of Agriculture, thanked a group of donors, faculty, students and ag community members for their support of the project.
