Yellowstone National Park wireless plan draws protests

The new Yellowstone Park Wireless Communications Plan http://www.nps.gov/yell/parknews/08080.htm, which leaves the door open for placing Webcams in the back country and will, if approved, bring additional cell service to folks who want to stay connected, is spooking some who say solitude is being traded for technology.
“Yellowstone now aspires to be an amusement park,” said Bill Boteler, from Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility, a nonprofit group advocating responsible management of public resources.
