Generous donors aid Montana medical education

In March, Gazette reporter Diane Cochran told the story of Penny Piper, a woman who, knowing she is dying of emphysema willed her body to the Montana State University cadaver donation program. That program is a great benefit to Rocky Mountain College students. Penny said she hoped her body would go to our college where students study cadavers in Dr. Claire Oakley’s human anatomy and physiology classes.

"If we had more people donating bodies as cadavers, just think how well we could teach our future doctors," she said. She’s right. RMC has 89.5 percent of our students, who apply to medical school, accepted.
