Popular high school program builds homes, bridge to future

Mat Darlinton sat in a camp chair Tuesday morning, with a hard hat on his head and his feet kicked up on his cooler — already looking like a construction worker on the groundbreaking day of Great Falls’ two new high school houses.

"I heard this program offers a lot, not only in high school but in the future," said the C.M. Russell High School junior.

Students from CMR and Great Falls High School’s advanced-building trades classes, in partnership with the city and NeighborWorks, broke ground on their 22nd and 23rd houses Tuesday.
