California vitamin manufacturer, Palmer Natural Products, sets up shop in ‘business-friendly’ Star, Idaho

Bear Paw Development Corporation is a private non-profit organization created for the purpose of administering programs to help improve regional economic conditions in Hill, Blaine, Liberty, Chouteau and Phillips Counties and the Fort Belknap and Rocky Boy's Indian Reservations.

A California vitamin and health supplement maker is relocating to a vacant warehouse in Star and plans to expand it.

The move gives Palmer Natural Products http://www.palmernp.com/ of San Jacinto, Calif., room to grow while benefiting the small Ada County community by broadening its tax base and creating some new jobs.

"We chose Idaho because it’s a business-friendly climate," said Larry Leach, president and CEO of Palmer Natural Products. "Star was very anxious to have us here."
