Stockman Bank gives to state music fund
| August 10, 2008 |
Classics for Kids Foundation http://classicsforkids.org/ has received a donation from Stockman Bank http://www.stockmanbank.com/ for their statewide Music for Montana Kids Initiative. The contribution will help purchase stringed instruments and provide mentoring for students in grades 3-12 in Montana schools.
The goal of the program is to replace damaged instruments, increase instrument inventories, develop mentoring programs and ensure that every child in Montana who wants to play a stringed instrument will be given that opportunity.
CFKF is a Bozeman based non-profit organization formed in 1997 to address budget cuts in school music programs across the country. The organizational mission is to empower young people to shape their own positive futures through playing music.
