New Economic Development Director, Jerry Lamb Hired for the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes

The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes recently hired a new economic development director to lead and develop the Tribes’ business ventures. Jerry Lamb, who was born on the Ft. Belknap Indian Reservation, is an enrolled member of the Gros Ventre Tribe. Lamb brings considerable business experience to CSKT. He served as part of Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer’s staff, focusing on economic development on the reservations, and advising on Indian-related matters. He previously served as Director of Hospitality at the Coeur D’Alene Casino Resort Hotel, located on the Coeur d’Alene Indian Reservation in north Idaho. In 2002, Jerry worked for the Coeur d’Alene, Nez Perce, and Kootenai Tribes of Idaho on a successful statewide Indian gaming initiative campaign. He also served as executive director of the American Indian Business Leaders organization.

Lamb earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Masters in Business Administration, both from the University of Montana. He is continuing his education in the Masters in Hospitality Administration program at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Jerry and his wife Lee have two children, Briana and Joshua.

Lamb joins the CSKT administration, which helps the Tribal Council oversee 1,200 employees and various businesses including S&K Electronics, S&K Technologies, S&K Holdings, Best Western Kwataqnuk Resort and Casino, Gray Wolf Peak Casino, S&K Marina and Eagle Bank.
