$100,000 grant from the Northwest Area Foundation to the Community Giving Assistance Toward Employment (GATE) boosts Glendive, Montana area food promotion

Efforts by people in Glendive to create local markets for locally grown food have received a $100,000 boost from the Northwest Area Foundation http://www.nwaf.org/ .
The foundation, based in St. Paul, Minn., recently gave one of its Great Strides Awards to a nonprofit group called Community Giving Assistance Toward Employment for its attempts to create jobs and business opportunities in the Glendive area by encouraging sustainable agriculture.
