The Montana Board of Research and Commercialization Technology http://www.businessresources.mt.gov/BRD_RCT.asp is accepting proposals for funding. Proposals are due March 3, 2008. Attached please find a Request for Proposals. The RFP may also be found on the web at http://businessresources.mt.gov/Includes/RCT/2009_Guidelines.pdf.

If you have any questions about the RFP, please call Dave Desch, Executive Director at (406) 841-2760.

As a result of Montana Board of Research Commercialization Technology’s funding and support of the Montana Technology Innovation Partnership (MTIP) program, MTIP’s experienced counselors are available to help applicants:

• understand MBRCT’s mission and the types of projects it funds;

• understand what is required to write a competitive MBRCT grant proposal;

• articulate an appropriate commercialization strategy for the technology being proposed;

and

• determine the completeness of a draft proposal relative to MBRCT guidelines.

To take advantage of this assistance, applicants should complete a Request for Services form at MTIP’s website (http://www.mt.mtip.gov). Eligible applicants for MTIP’s services—which include individuals and companies, but not university researchers—can receive one-on-one technical assistance with their proposals at no cost. Availability of assistance will be subject to time and demand.
