Energy efficient building panel plant relocates to Post Falls, Idaho from Virginia

A maker of energy-efficient building panels will again open a manufacturing plant here after moving to Virginia several years ago.

"With fuel prices, it makes sense to put a plant in," said Werner Nennecker, president of Acsys Inc. http://www.acsys.net/ , which has its offices in Hayden Lake.

The company closed its research and development center in Post Falls several years ago and moved all manufacturing to Virginia. But as the cost of transportation rose, the company began looking for a West Coast facility. After looking at Arizona, Utah and other states, Acsys decided to move into an empty building near Buck Knives in the Riverbend Commerce Park.
