Montana State University management class seeks businesses for consultation

Montana State University’s College of Business is seeking local and regional businesses that would be willing to offer MSU management students practical business experience during the upcoming fall semester in return for research, issue analysis or operational advice.

The students will be enrolled in "Management 475 – Management Practicum," taught by Myleen Leary, a recent addition to the College of Business faculty. This senior-level class has been a successful MSU program for more than 15 years.

During the four-month course, students will help manage special consulting projects requested by area businesses. Past projects have included developing business, marketing and financial plans, identifying ways to improve businesses, suggesting solutions to problems, market and competition analysis, and helping with human resources and customer service issues.

The MSU College of Business is taking applications of businesses that may want to participate in the class during the fall semester, which begins Aug. 27 and ends Dec. 14. All types of businesses are encouraged to be part of this class. For more information, contact Leary at 994-6203 or at [email protected].
